Things to do
Walks and Hikes For the energetic, there are many walks and hikes. From a 30 minute stroll down Lovers' Lane, to the more exerting 9 hour Bloupunt hike, and anything in between. (Joop and Monica will also gladly share their experience of hiking to Everest Base Camp in the Nepal Himalaya with you, if you are interested).
Even more energetic? Montagu is renowned for some of the best rock climbing in the world. Judging by the number of foreign languages heard at the various climbing routes, Montagu is certainly becoming increasingly well-known amongst overseas visitors. Whether your interest is in traditional or sports climbing, there are routes to suit the beginner as well as the experienced climber.
There are many places to explore and day trips
to enjoy while staying in Montagu. We will assist you in making the
necessary arrangements, and help you find what you are looking for.
